New Verse Book
During Don's Workshop I was totally imersed creating cards with the beeswax and napkin technique. After my buddy Camille mentioned she only makes books these days it occurred to me that I could of course incorporate this technique and create a book as well!
So, here is the first inside page of my "Verse Book". I have a notebook filled with my favorite bible verses and a few I am trying to memorize. You may have some favorite poems or sayings as well and you can incorporate this same idea for your own book.
I created layers of backgrounds with napkins and beeswax (three different napkin prints here). I printed out my favorite clip art and adhered them to gold background paper. Then I used my Cuttlebug to cut out the swirls, my mini "create a sticker" Xyron to adhere all the small pieces and cardstock letter "B's" (for Beauty), My Fiskars border punch, some bling, some Stazon ink for the edges, and adhered the top layer on three sides with mounting tape to an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of black cardstock.
I left the top open so I could slide in my decorated verse "bookmarks". I can fit 3 verses in the pocket for each page. I'll be creating additional pages this week so it will be fun to see how I use up all my napkins for this project!!! I intend on binding all my pages together on a larger sheet of heavyweight cardstock using my Zutter binding system when I have all 15 pages completed! This should keep me busy over the next 2 weeks ;-)
Have a wonderful Sunday! Hugs, ArtScrampGirl ;-)
